(1) Inschrijven proefles(sen): inschrijven voor één of meerdere proeflessen en/of het bandcoaching traject gaat door middel van het invullen van een inschrijfformulier op de website. De leerlingenadministratie van Art in Music neemt na het inschrijven contact op om de proefles(sen) in te plannen binnen de proefperiode tussen de 1e en de laatste van de kalendermaand. We plannen maximaal 1 proefles per lesweek tot de laatste dag van de kalendermaand. Wanneer de ingeschrevene meerdere proeflessen wil afnemen plannen we deze doorgaans op hetzelfde, terugkerende tijdslot op steeds dezelfde dag van de week. Na akkoord op de door de leerlingenadministratie voorgestelde data/tijden stuurt Art in Music een bevestiging hiervan per mail met daarin alle nodige informatie. Hiermee zijn de ingeplande proeflessen een afspraak. Art in Music zal deze afgesproken proeflessen aan het einde van de proefperiode per mail factureren. Zie tarieven voor de hoogte van het huidige prijs per proefles.
2) Afzeggen proefles(sen): Proeflessen kunnen tot 24 uur tevoren per mail aan de leerlingenadministratie afgezegd worden. Op tijd afgezegde proeflessen brengen we niet in rekening. LET OP: dit geldt alleen voor proeflessen en niet voor lessen in het erop volgende reguliere traject.
3) Individuele lessen (reguliere traject): Direct na de afgenomen proeflessen in de proefperiode, volgt de keuze om de lessen te vervolgen binnen het reguliere traject tegen ons vaste tarief per maand. Dit is een abonnementsvorm waarin gekozen kan worden voor wekelijks 30 minuten les of tweewekelijks 60 minuten les. De leerlingenadministratie van Art in Music neemt aan het einde van de proefperiode contact op met de ingeschrevene om het vaste les moment in de week aan te bieden. Doorgaans is dit op exact hetzelfde, terugkerende tijdslot en op dezelfde dag van de week als waarop de eerder geplande proeflessen zijn afgenomen. De ingeschrevene kan mondeling of per e-mail akkoord gaan met deelname aan het reguliere traject. Wanneer de leerling na de proefperiode (onopgemerkt door de leerlingenadministratie) naar de lessen blijft komen zonder akkoord te geven aan de leerlingenadministratie, zien we dit met terugwerkende kracht vanzelfsprekend als akkoord op deelname aan het reguliere traject. Wel is de kans ook aanwezig dat de leerling voor een dichte deur belandt omdat deze zonder akkoord niet ingepland wordt normaliter.
Na akkoord voor deelname aan het reguliere traject gelden de volgende voorwaarden:
3.1) Lesjaar: Een lesjaar bij Art in Music loopt min of meer gelijk aan dat van het basisonderwijs in Midden Nederland. Tijdens de schoolvakanties gelijk aan of langer dan een week is er geen les. Zie rooster voor een actueel overzicht van vakanties en lesweken. LET OP: we doen (bijna nooit) aan losse feestdagen!
3.2) Maandtarief: Voor deelname aan het reguliere traject geldt een maandtarief. Zie tarieven voor de hoogte van het huidige maandtarief.
3.3.1) Uitschrijven individuele lessen (reguliere traject): Ingeschrevenen kunnen zich voor/op de 1e van elke kalendermaand schriftelijk (per email aan de leerlingenadministratie van Art in Music) uitschrijven. Voor het uitschrijven van de wekelijkse/tweewekelijkse vaste lessen geldt een betaalperiode opzegtermijn (dit is doorgaans één kalendermaand) gerekend vanaf de eerste van elke kalendermaand. LET OP: Tijdens de zomervakantie worden de maanden juli en augustus samen als betaalperiode gezien, vanwege de zomerstop. De maand augustus wordt in dat geval dus niet apart gezien als opzegtermijn.
VOORBEELD:
*Wanneer er voor begin juli wordt opgezegd zal leerling uitgeschreven worden per september (opzegtermijn = betaalperiode juli/aug) en zal dus alleen het tarief (1 x maandtarief) gerekend worden voor juli/augustus. Afhankelijk van de ligging van de zomervakantie heeft leerling dan nog recht op lessen in augustus.
*Wanneer er na begin juli wordt opgezegd zal leerling uitgeschreven worden per oktober en zal dus nog het tarief gerekend worden van september.
Aan het einde van de opzegtermijn wordt de facturatie door Art in Music stopgezet.
3.3.2) Uitschrijven bandcoaching traject: Inschrijven/uitschrijven voor het bandcoaching traject gaat per traject van begin tot het einde van elk traject. De maandelijkse betaling hiervoor zal dus ook tot het einde van het traject duren. Voor het uitschrijven geldt dat dit ten minste een kalendermaand voorafgaande aan het nieuwe traject dient te gebeuren. Zonder tijdige opzegging loopt het huidige bandtraject stilzwijgend door in het erop volgende bandtraject. Doorgaans zijn er twee bandtrajecten per jaar: van augustus t/m januari en van februari t/m juli. Het kan voorkomen dat deze trajecten anders worden gepland.
3.4) Afzeggen enkele lessen binnen het reguliere traject: Bij het afzeggen/missen van enkele lessen door ingeschrevenen, wordt geen restitutie gegeven op de maandelijkse betaling van het lesgeld. De mogelijkheid tot het inhalen van door ingeschrevenen afgezegde/gemiste lessen kan met de docent(e) zelf worden besproken. Aangezien docenten zelfstandigen zijn kunnen we als muziekschool de docenten niet verplichten door ingeschrevenen afgezegde/gemiste lessen in te halen.
3.5) Uitval van lessen: Wanneer er onverhoopt lessen uitvallen bij Art in Music (afgemeld door Art in Music of de docent(e) zelf) wordt geprobeerd deze les in te halen. Dit gaat in overleg met de docent(e). Wanneer het inhalen van lessen (afgemeld door Art in Music of de docent(e) zelf) niet mogelijk is zal de uitgevallen les gecompenseerd worden op de eerstvolgende factuur.
3.6) Wijzigingen lesdag/lestijd: Gewenste (incidentele of permanente) wijzigingen van lestijd/lesdag kunnen in eerste instantie met de docent(e) zelf besproken worden. Docenten zijn gevraagd hierin zoveel mogelijk mee te denken maar zijn niet verplicht af te wijken van de oorspronkelijke plek in het rooster welke met de leerlingenadministratie is afgesproken. Wanneer een docent(e) na het verzoek tot wijzigen van lestijd/lesdag geen oplossing heeft, zal dit met de leerlingenadministratie verder besproken moeten worden.
ENGLISH TRANSLATION
(1) Registration for Trial Lesson(s):
Registration for one or more trial lessons and/or the band coaching program takes place by completing the registration form on the website. The student administration of Art in Music will contact the applicant after registration to schedule the trial lesson(s) within the trial period between the 1st and the last day of the calendar month. We schedule a maximum of one trial lesson per teaching week until the last day of the calendar month. If the applicant wishes to take multiple trial lessons, these are generally scheduled in the same recurring time slot on the same day of the week. After approval of the proposed dates/times by the student administration, Art in Music will send a confirmation by email including all necessary information. The scheduled trial lessons then constitute an appointment. Art in Music will invoice the agreed trial lessons by email at the end of the trial period. Please refer to the rates for the current price per trial lesson.
2) Cancellation of Trial Lesson(s):
Trial lessons can be cancelled up to 24 hours in advance by emailing the student administration. Trial lessons cancelled on time will not be charged. PLEASE NOTE: this only applies to trial lessons and not to lessons in the subsequent regular program.
3) Individual Lessons (Regular Program):
Immediately after completing the trial lessons within the trial period, the choice follows whether to continue lessons within the regular program at our fixed monthly rate. This is a subscription model offering either weekly 30-minute lessons or biweekly 60-minute lessons. At the end of the trial period, the student administration of Art in Music will contact the applicant to offer a fixed weekly lesson time. This is usually exactly the same recurring time slot and day of the week as the previously scheduled trial lessons. The applicant may agree to participation in the regular program verbally or by email. If, after the trial period, the student continues attending lessons without formally confirming participation to the student administration, this will naturally be regarded retroactively as agreement to participate in the regular program. However, there is also the possibility that the student may find the door closed, as without confirmation they are normally not scheduled.
After agreeing to participate in the regular program, the following conditions apply:
3.1) Academic Year:
An academic year at Art in Music runs roughly parallel to that of primary education in the Central Netherlands region. During school holidays lasting one week or longer, no lessons are given. Please see the schedule for an up-to-date overview of holidays and lesson weeks. PLEASE NOTE: we (almost never) observe individual public holidays separately.
3.2) Monthly Fee:
Participation in the regular program is subject to a monthly fee. Please see the rates for the current monthly fee.
The fee is the same each payment month and is invoiced 11 times per year (no invoice is sent in the summer month of August). In return, we provide weekly 30-minute lessons or biweekly 60-minute lessons based on the primary school calendar of Central Netherlands. An overview of holidays and lesson weeks can be found here. Our monthly fee therefore does not correspond to a fixed number of lessons per month. Some months have more than four weeks, others fewer due to holidays. The total tuition fee for the entire season is therefore divided over 11 payment moments.
For students with biweekly 60-minute lessons, we review the distribution of lesson weeks and holidays prior to each season and, if necessary, switch students between odd and even weeks during the season to ensure everyone receives an equal number of lesson weeks.
3.3.1) Cancellation of Individual Lessons (Regular Program):
Registered students may cancel their enrollment in writing (by email addressed to the student administration of Art in Music) effective on the 1st of any calendar month. A notice period of one payment period (generally one calendar month) applies, calculated from the first day of each calendar month. PLEASE NOTE: During the summer holiday, the months of July and August are considered one payment period due to the summer break. In that case, August is not treated as a separate notice month.
EXAMPLE:
• If cancellation occurs before the beginning of July, the student will be deregistered as of September (notice period = payment period July/August) and only the fee for July/August (1 x monthly fee) will be charged. Depending on the timing of the summer holiday, the student may still be entitled to lessons in August.
• If cancellation occurs after the beginning of July, the student will be deregistered as of October and the fee for September will still be charged.
At the end of the notice period, Art in Music will stop invoicing.
3.3.2) Cancellation of Band Coaching Program:
Registration and cancellation for the band coaching program are arranged per program cycle, from the beginning to the end of each cycle. Monthly payments will therefore continue until the end of the cycle. Cancellation must take place at least one calendar month prior to the start of the new cycle. Without timely cancellation, the current band program will automatically continue into the subsequent band program. There are generally two band program cycles per year: from August through January and from February through July. These cycles may occasionally be scheduled differently.
3.4) Cancellation of Individual Lessons within the Regular Program:
If registered students cancel or miss individual lessons, no refund will be given on the monthly tuition fee. The possibility of rescheduling cancelled or missed lessons may be discussed directly with the teacher. As teachers are self-employed, the music school cannot require teachers to make up cancelled or missed lessons.
3.5) Cancellation of Lessons by Art in Music:
If lessons are unexpectedly cancelled by Art in Music (either by Art in Music itself or by the teacher), an attempt will be made to reschedule the lesson in consultation with the teacher. If rescheduling is not possible, the cancelled lesson will be compensated on the next invoice.
3.6) Changes to Lesson Day/Time:
Requested changes (incidental or permanent) to lesson time/day may initially be discussed directly with the teacher. Teachers are asked to think along as much as possible but are not obliged to deviate from the original scheduled time agreed upon with the student administration. If the teacher cannot offer a solution after a request for change, the matter must be further discussed with the student administration.
